Set up Next VPN on your Android

  1. Download the NextVPN Application.
  2. Open Next VPN App.
  3. Choose on of the protocols and one of the servers.
  4. Enter your Username and Password, then tap Connect.

Different types of Protocols

There are several different types of protocol to connect. If you have a problem with speed or connection with one of the protocols, try the other protocols.

Problems using Next VPN

VPN will connect to the selected server, but no site will be opened after connecting.

Answer: Probably the problem is due to battery saver mode activation on the phone. Go to Settings > Battery > Battery Saver and disable it.

If the issue is not resolved, make sure Background Data is enabled in the Settings > Data usage menu.

Set up Open VPN on your Android

  1. Download the OpenVPN Connect Application from the Google Play.
  2. Download the .ovpn file(s) from to your phone. You can also transfer the files from your computer via a USB cable. OpenVPN Config File List
  3. Use the folder icon in the top right corner to import an existing profile.
  4. Using the pop-up file browser, locate the .ovpn file you downloaded in Step 1.
  5. It will display an import log once it’s done importing. Click the check mark in the top right corner.
  6. When you’re connecting for the first time, you will be greeted with a warning, tap OK.
  7. If connected successfully it will display “Connected: SUCCESS” and a key icon will appear in the status bar.
  8. If you’d like to disconnect from the server location, just tap the “Disconnect” button.


If you click on Connected in the application, it will show the log file. This can be useful for troubleshooting if you’re having problems getting the application to connect.

Set up Cisco OpenConnect VPN on your Android

  1. Download and install “OpenConnect” App from Google Play.
  2. Open the downloaded App.
  3. Tap on “+” to add profile
  4. Enter your desired server address and tap “OK”. You can get the complete list of servers here Cisco AnyConnect Server List
  5. Tap on “Profile name”
  6. Enter in a name for your connection. (Optional)
  7. Now tap on back button of your android device and tap on the profile you just created.
  8. Tap on “OK”
  9. Tap on “Always Connect”
  10. Enter your Username and Password, then tap OK.
  11. You are now connected.

How to manually configure a VPN on your Android

With your login information on-hand, you can manually configure a VPN client on your Android.


Type: L2TP

VPN name: FollowerBox L2TP (Optional)

Set VPN server:
VPN2 Server List

Set IPSec pre-shared key: vpn2key

Enable L2TP secret: Off

Username: your username

Password: your password

1. Unlock your phone.

2. Open the Settings app.

3. Under the “Wireless & networks” section, select “More”.

4. Select “VPN”.

5. On the top-right corner you will find a + sign, tap it.

6. Simply select your desired protocol and enter all the information.

7. Hit “Save”.

8. You can connect by going back to the VPN settings and selecting your VPN of choice. You will be asked to enter a username and password.

9. You can also hit the 3-dot menu button to set your VPN to always be on.
