Next VPN

Set up Next VPN on Mac

  1. Download the NextVPN Application.
  2. Run the installation file and drag and drop the NextVPN icon to Applications. Then go to the Applications menu in the finder and run NextVPN software.
  3. Choose on of the protocols and one of the servers.
  4. Enter your Username and Password, then tap Connect.

Note 1: In the first run of NextVPN software and also Proxifier software in the MacOS High Sierra verison, you must give software permission to run by the “System Preferences – Security & Privacy – Allow apps downloaded from” section.

Note 2: In the first connection to the servers, the Administrator user’s password is required to be entered. Note that do not incorrectly enter the vpn password in this step. If you do not know this password, you can change it from the “System Preferences” and then “Users and Groups”.

Different types of Protocols

There are several different types of protocol to connect. If you have a problem with speed or connection with one of the protocols, try the other protocols.

How to set up Open VPN on Mac

  1. Download the Tunnelblick Application.
  2. Install the Application.
  3. Create a new folder in an arbitrary place like Desktop. Download server configuration files from different countries from the link below and copy only one of them into this new folder.

  4. Change the folder name to a custom name with the tblk extension like USA-udp.tblk. Then double-click on this folder to enter to the list of servers.

    Note: Make sure you rename the folder and not the file.

    Note: You can do this for other servers, but notice that each time create a new folder and change the name of the folder to a new name.

  5. Run the software from the Applications section and click on the Tunnelblick icon and select the desired server. Then enter your username and password and connect.


Set up Cisco AnyConnect on Mac

  1. Download and install “AnyConnect” App.
  2. Open one of the downloaded App.
  3. Enter your desired server address and tap “OK”. example: You can get the complete list of servers here Cisco AnyConnect Server List
  4. Tap Connect.
  5. Enter your Username and Password.
  6. You are now connected.

Problems using Cisco AnyConnect on Mac

Cisco AnyConnect can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.

How to run programs from Unidentified Developers on Mac?

  1. Open the System Preferences. This can be done by either clicking on the System Preferences icon in the Dock or by going to Apple Menu > System Preferences.

  2. Open the Security & Privacy pane by clicking Security & Privacy.

  3. Make sure that the General section of the the Security & Privacy pane is selected. If the lock icon at lower left is “locked”, click the icon labeled Click the lock to make changes.

  4. Enter your username and password into the prompt that appears and click Unlock.
  5. Under the section labeled Allow applications downloaded from:, select Anywhere. On the prompt that appears, click Allow From Anywhere.
  6. Exit System Preferences by clicking the red button in the upper left of the window. 
    You should now be able to install/run applications that are tagged as being from an “Unidentified Developer”.

How to set up Kerio on Mac

  1. Download the Kerio Application.
  2. Install the Application.
  3. Run the software and enter a custom name in the connection section such as FollowerBox VPN then enter your desired server address for example You can get the complete list of servers here Kerio Server List
  4. Enter your Username and Password.
  5. Tap Connect.
  6. You are now connected.

How to set up a VPN on your Mac

With your login information on-hand, you can manually configure a VPN client on your Mac.

  1. Open System Preferences > Network.
  2. Click the + sign.
  3. Select VPN, then pick L2TP.
  4. Enter in your server address and account name, then click Authentication Settings.

  5. Enter your password and enter vpn2key to the shared secret field, then click Ok.
  6. Go to the advanced section and check the “Send all traffic over VPN connection” option.
  7. Click apply then Connect.
